In addition, we don't just teach Spanish, but moreover, we've also come out with the fantastic idea of offering some extra activities (especially after receiving several requests from our previous students to make the learning experience better). We really want to help everyone to develop new skills, and/or increase their previous knowledge in some areas by getting involved in these workshops:

» Conferences of history, traditions and costumes from Mexico and Latin America

» Conversation & Culture exchange

» Excursions/trips within the local area and out of town

» Handcrafting & pottery

» How to make piñatas

» Mexican cooking lessons

» Movies in Spanish

» Round tables for discussions.

» Salsa & cumbia dancing lessons

» Volunteering/internship programs

**Important note. Some of these activities are at no extra charge but others may be available at a minimum extra charge & of course, they're non-obligatory.

Conversation & culture exchange

Everyone is welcome to join the conversation and culture exchange activity (which is not obligatory)
It consists in having the foreign students exchange their ideas in their own language with the Mexican students who are currently learning English (or other languages) in this town. It works like this: 1 hour of Spanish first and then 1 hour of English (The order doesn’t really matter; the conversation can also be done in the foreign students' mother tongue, e.g. German, French, Japanese, etc.) NO EXTRA CHARGE

Short tours for sightseeing around the town can be done on the afternoons and/or the weekends. There are several places to visit like: museums, archeological sites, silversmith towns, caves, mountains, movie theaters, restaurants, coffee shops and many more.
All suggestions or special requests are welcome. All of these visits can be done around Cuernavaca and Morelos state as same as other states.

Handcrafting & pottery

There is a lot of handcrafting in Mexico that the indigenous people make with different materials (clay, silver, fabric, etc) and perhaps the students who come to learn Spanish or participate as volunteers would like to learn how to make such souvenirs. Everyone is more than welcome to give it a try! IT HAS AN EXTRA FEE

Volunteering/internships

After receiving several requests from our previous students, TLALOC now focuses in having volunteers who already speak Spanish good enough to get by; these participants have made a big difference in Cuernavaca´s poor communities & the surroundings by bringing a lot of donations and also by helping with the different areas where their participation was needed. Anyone can become part of this amazing program; this does not only help our people, but also has helped the participants to improve their Spanish skills! For further info please check our current openings available or inquire by sending an email to TLALOC. IT HAS AN EXTRA FEE
